Black Bean Sedani with Italian Sausage and Arrabbiatta Sauce

The flavors of arrabbiatta sauce and Italian sausage complement the richness of black bean pasta in this dish that’s sure to bring the family to the table.

10 ounces Pasta Lensi Black Bean Sedani

1-2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 medium onion, diced

1 pound bulk Italian sausage

1 jar (24 ounce) arrabbiatta sauce


1Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain well and set aside.

2Meanwhile, heat Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.

3Add Italian sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, until sausage is cooked through. Drain excess fat and discard.

4Add arrabbiatta sauce to the skillet and stir well to incorporate sausage. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Fold cooked pasta into skillet and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.
